Heya smile

We have just had a 60 second promotional video of our woodland done, drone footage etc and as happy as we with the footage (very), we can't decide on an accompanying soundtrack.

The video is similar to this, done by the same guys, but obviously mainly woodland and some sea, a few sound clips of the trickling stream and birds/leaves in the wind.

It's a romantic couples retreat, happy, exciting, relaxing, so we don't want sad, or moody music, but at the same time we don't want happy upbeat dance.

We have thought about 3 different avenues so far

Solo Piano, something like this:

Acoustic, slow, like this (but not this exact song):

Instrumental - no singing:

Thoughts, or suggestions welcome smile

Thanks

Without seeing the actual promo video in question, I'm getting "pastoral" and "bucolic" as a theme i.e. lots of countryside imagery. I may be wrong.

If not, maybe one of these (in no particular order):-

Have GetCarter of this parish compose something bespoke for you smile

or maybe just natural local sounds-birdsong, wind, bees buzzing etc

Do 5 different versions and then test them with prospective customers to see which one drives ths most revenue.

Oh, well in that case, there's only one option really.

For me, most of what's been posted so far is a bit too downbeat for something promoting a holiday.

I get that you don't want some massive trance tune but I think you need to be more light-hearted and, erm, joyful?

Something like this although I appreciate this is in a foreign language, but more this style and tempo. Pra Manha, the version from Zero 7's Another Late Night:

https://youtu.be/m01Gk-BAzwM

I think you could easily mine something out of Zero 7's back catalogue, plus it'll be familiar to a lot of people; dare I say, possibly to your target audience. Or think Groove Armada, Royksopp, maybe St Germain, Morcheeba?

Having said all of the above, are you prepared for how much it might cost you to licence a track like this?
