Lecht

I drove (the STi) over the Lecht yesterday (Grantown to Deeside direction).

Haven't been on this road for a few years. Cracking drive.

I wished I knew the road a bit better (constantly braking a bit too early / too hard) but enjoyed it nonetheless.

If it's fine at the weekend (doubtful, I know) I'll maybe give it a go in the Westfield.

Agreed, did it last year with two other Dax's and it was the dogz.

It's well worth trying in the Westy but I hope you've got good brakes. My Hi-Specs and greenstuff (yes, i know they're junk) were starting to cook by the time we had got to the deeside end.

My favourite road!

I lived in aberdeen working in inverness for 6 months a few years ago, so commuted over the lecht 2-3 days a week! I got to know it DAMN well. I only had a wee ford fiesta then (i've got a tiger R6 now) but is was still the most fun driving i've ever done!

Did you come over the bit south of Cockbridge towards Ballater and Braemar? (also great fun) I usually cut east towards Alford (cos I live in Aberdeen)
