Does anyone know what parts-bin this came from? trying to locate some replacements and can't find any info.

The below is of a Mk2 Escort and looks similar

thanks in advance

I have heard MK2 Escort before, but if you have anything other than the standard wipers it might not fit.

Post up whether or not they fit if you buy some.

I'm quite sure they are the same as the ones fitted to the original mini. Having had a few minis over the years from what I remember they are the same.

I imagine you would be able to find any number that would fit by wandering around a Scrappy

In an emergency I found brake bleed screws that fit at a scrappy which enabled me to attend a track day that weekend (they were swiftly replaced by new ones)

No scrappies in Lux, I'm afraid, which is why I was trying to order them from the Web banghead

On many T-cars the drivers side one is missing because it will not fit with a little modifying . They usually come with the wiper arms , but if you're too mean to buy new arms , you could always steal one from a car parked in the street jester

Are we talking proper Minis here? ...not that godawful BMW pastiche thing?... if so (and I am prepared to be corrected) all the Minis that I have ever owned/worked on/seen have had a cast female push-on fitting to the spindle, secured with a little spring steel catch under the male boss. This was typical of most cars of that era, and like 99% of Mini parts, was never changed from Mk1 to Mk4.
During the 70's, manufactures started to use the later (and still used) method of the threaded end of the spindle passing right through the arm and secured by a nut, hidden by a plastic cover...eg as seen on Mk2 Escorts in 1975 on, whereas Mk1s (1969 on) had the push-on type.
Examples on eBay confirm the above. It may also be the place to identify what covers are used on the Cerbera, although when I enquired on her a while back, no one was able to tell me what the arms themselves originally came off.

There are loads of scrappies in Germany, just an hour away

A couple of years ago I was directed to one in Mullenbach, which is just a couple of miles from the Ring, when one of my coil packs failed

I spotted a Saxo in the scrap yard and within a three hours the car was working again perfectly - sadly too late for the track day, but at least I got to drive home on 8 cylinders

I'm talking the original mini, and will bow to your more extensive research. I also had a MK1 escort so my memory may be confused over the years, just trying to help but phoning around a few of these places and asking the questions usually sorts things like this out

Did anyone manage to find a compatible part for this?

I bought a couple of Land Rover ones - LR058466 - but they are too flat between the top of the wiper and the top of the nut, as the original Cerbera one has a big slope on it

Here's a photo of the one I broke yesterday trying to remove it smash

and this is what the Land Rover ones look like for reference

Close, but just a tiny bit too small to really fit comfortable unluckily (*or maybe I just need to push it on harder as these ones are cheap compared to others out there!)

Just an update but the Land Rover ones definitely don't fit - even with a bit of pushing, the size of the nut cover is too small which means the securing clip part can't reach the points it should be clipping itself too

Not to try some more different ones...

Were they old school mini? Wasn't the wiper motor or gearbox a modified one, so might be

As I stated previously (above), Mini (as opposed to MINI) wiper arms were push-on, not bolt-on, and there was no separate shroud, the chromed cast socket was blind.

Mine ended up having this Micra's rear arms, but I can't remember whether it had a cover or not. I think it may have had a plastic mock dome nut cover over the nut

Love a good wander around a scrappy smile Very rare they actually let you do it these days and I miss climbing up two cars high with a few spanners and taking off the parts I wanted!

Nissan Micra is a good idea too
