I know of a 17 plate 2 GTS with sub 5k miles sell into trade for just shy of £97k

I'd say they're relatively strong, in the context of a new car. I just sold mine for just under £120k, registered June 2017 and had covered 6k miles. Amazing residual for a new car. Actually, amazing car too.

I must admit I did have some luck on my side - it was a beefy spec which today would cost £137k. However I ordered mine before the price rise so it listed at £132k, and I got a few k's discount (some from the Porsche dealer itself, and some from the dealer group due to some poor service on the previous, different brand, car from that same group). Upshot is, I lost under £1 mile in depreciation. I'm sure it would've felt more painful had I paid full list on the current prices!

Yes they residuals on a 911 GTS are strong compared to other mainstream new vehicles but if you look at 911 GTS's that are three to four year old they have still lost on average over £900 per month in depreciation. Thats still a lot of money for most people, especially if you have finance payments on top of that.

The 991 GTS is my favourite Porsche but I'm waiting for it to reach the bottom of the curve before I buy. 997 GTS's are there now but I prefer the 991.

I brought a 997 gts in feb this year from a porsche dealer and have just traded it in at the same value against a 991.1 gts at another porsche dealer. Before you ask, i didnt overpay for the 991.

I loved the 997 but the spec of the 991 is just awesome in comparison.

Like all 911's very mileage sensitive. GTS has held its value very well but my impression is it's a volume model as much as the Carrera or S is. My OPC has probably had half a dozen stock /showroom/demo cars since the early summer launch.

My 991 GTS has just clicked over 20k mikes. I’m starting to get a little concerned about it’s residual value. How mileage sensitive do you think these are?

After searching out a Boxster for Mrs. JT last weekend I came across an over-specified, 250 mile 911 GTS which was under its new price, but unfortunately beyond what I wanted to extend to (I sat down and talked about it at least)!

I think 5k miles a year is okay...above that and you'll start to get hit.

350 miles and two owners....must have been a "demo" (i.e. a stock car that the OPC registered) originally.

Have a look on here https://supersearch.sytner.co.uk/#/?s=porsche%2091... It shows the Sytner OPC's have eight 991 GTS's in stock including a couple of delivery mileage cars. Go to the main Porsche website and there are only three across the Sytner OPC's....no idea why they don't show up there...maybe they are too new.

Was the 997 PDK or manual and how many miles on it? If you don't mind me asking, what px did they allow you on it? (Send me a PM if you'd prefer!)
Cheers
