997 C4S booked into OPC Tonbridge today to have a radiator hose changed and both heat shields replaced. Turns out that all 5 hoses need replacing now and theres a leak from the drive shaft......... answers on a postcard.

I had the OPC point out I had a leaking RMS, however I do tend to find they're on the side of actively looking for jobs to throw in. Ie the usual is condensers need replacing looks like a sign of damage/oil on them.

They're helpful because they know what they're looking at just be wary about going through and doing all the jobs they've said.

Chances are if one hose needs replacing, the others could well be on their way out too. Any chance you can get down there to take a look and make your own mind up?

Certainly agree with the other comment re OPCs looking for work. Another well known manufacturer recently said I needed new windscreen wipers.... the vehicle is 3 months old! Cheeky.

so it turns out that theres also a corroded aluminium pipe that needs replacing and a leaking drive shaft. The engines being dropped to replace the water pipe. looking at 2.5k so far.

How many miles? 997 look and drive fantastic but Gen1 without warranty is a brave move imho!
