I came across this service last week from a Facebook advert, and it's brilliant! I already had a USPS account, so just had to sign in and sign up for the free service.

Once signed up, every day that you have mail, they email you a scanned image of each piece of mail that will be delivered that day. Got the first email this morning - 2 pieces of junk mail so now I don't have to wander round to the communal mail boxes to go and get it, I can wait until another day! Also means when there is no mail, I don't get an email so I don't wander round to an empty box. Great for those of us with communal boxes or if you mailbox is at the edge of your property and its raining/snowing/dark/cold, etc.

Interesting. Just signed up and will see what it’s like...although it’s not exactly an issue to go to the mail box!!

Wish you could opt out of all the b.s. junk mail - must get 3 or 4 pieces a day!

Ive been having this for several months now.. a novelty at first and ever so slightly interesting... but now it’s - open Email, quick scan... oh well, it will be in the mail box later.

I’ve forwarded the occasional one to Mrs B.
As it’s a free service I’ll accept and use it, if they think about charging I won’t be out.

What would be great is if you could select which items of mail to receive and which items of mail for the USPS to securely recycle. That I would pay a subscription for.

depending on your living situation, with room-mates or some sort of common mail area - it allows you to confirm if anything's been pilfered or misdelivered- the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue for instance, or if something that "should have been delivered today, call back tomorrow" really was. otherwise it just tells you what you're going to find out anyway
