1. what has the most 'vitamin c' in it - supermarket orange juice, or the equivalent amount in weight as when eaten from a regular orange?

2. as fruit contains 'vitamin c' does this mean that wine also contains it, for isnt it made from fruit as in grapes?

3. does ale or beer have any vitamin qualities?

4. which fruit has the highest amount of vitamin c in it per gram/ounce? [i guess its either an orange or lemon]

5. i heard that potasium as when in some fruit or vege, helps to boost your immune system, so if true, what fruits are those?

6. you know all those vitamins we're meant to eat daily, are they all really essential, like might just some be important but not all of them?

I heard a funny thing today about real beer, in that if you rinse your hair in it, it makes it thicker looking, healthier, an gives it a shine, but isnt harmfull.
i'm assuming this might have something to do with real beer having special ingrediants like barley/sugar/yeast etc or something like that.

orange does not have the most vit C in it. i cant remember for sure which fruits have more but i think kiwis have many times more than oranges.

i wouldnt have thought that grapes have much vit C in them so i doubt that wine does.

I read once that raw potatoes have more vitamin C than oranges? Eat chips for health!

A lot of naturally occuring vitamins can be broken down by the cooking process, especially with Veg. Steaming is a good way to avoid this.

Indeed, I keep mine right next to the tub of cod liver oil capsules, sometimes in the morning I'm really not certain which one I should be reaching for

You might think that Oranges are great for vitamin C, unfortunately they're so sodden with sugar they're also great for rotting your teeth

i heard that even alcohol spirits are healthy to drink if taken in moderation, so i'll drink to your suggestion

also, i read on a Wimpy menu they've now got a new dish called the 'Atkins diet platter' - tho were'nt there a documentry about the atkins diet a month or 2 ago, where it proved its all a pile of crap as it dont really work for most people an can easily cause other body probs?

an if so, dont that mean another food chain is jumping on the bandwaggon of an unproven fad dieting movement?

ps- an on todays news, tho organic food now exceeds £1 billion sales, on ITN an expert said it has no proven extra health benefits, in which case why are all those people paying double for food that wont do them any better than regular food, or is the 'expert' wrong?

rsvp i'm very confused by all this

People live longer now than they did in the past before pesticides etc. were used, which makes it difficult to say that organic food is healthier. They only reason for paying double is because it's more difficult to produce organically.

I get organic fruit and veg if I can, as long as it is produced in England, the stuff supermarkets import from places like New Zealand never tastes as good after it's travelled god knows how many miles.

I do think not putting pesticides in your body is a good idea.
