Camaro Iroc Z 3rd Gen?

Hi Guys,

Just wanted to see if anyone on here has some 3rd Gen Camaros? I posted up here ages ago with pics of my old 87 model that I had in Australia.

I would love to see what cars are here at the moment.

I have an early Z28 half way through resto, but it's a long way off finished (time not work). Will be being built up as an iroc lookalike most likely, and a prostreet type build.

Runs mid 13s, won two Sportsman ET Drag Racing Championships.

are these easy enough to get parts for in the UK? Would one survive parked outside?

Seriously tempted by one as I don't need a car for work these days. The missus is from LA and we are over there at least once or twice a year, so i figure i could bring back parts if i need to.

Just to clarify, i would be looking at the late 80s/early 90s v8, i've got my eye on a white 305.

Getting spares for these is in some cases easier than for a Japanese car - not mention very often cheaper

Rockauto for the win on the parts front, often had parts ordered on a Friday afternoon and be waiting for me at work on Monday morning! Can't complain at that!

Seen a couple up for sale for what seems like peanuts...i understand it probably isn't the "right" engine, but are they all that bad?

I guess they're not *that* bad but, having had both, I'd not get another 6

The later V6 4th Gens would outshine some of the V8 3rd Gens, but yeah, they're cheap for a reason. The cars aren't massively desirable without a V8.

truth be told I suspect that an IROC wouldn't see which way a late model V6 went let alone keep up with it - but I'd still rather have the V8
