I am a qualified accountant - have owned a practice last 8 years which i have just sold.. prior to that worked in IT (11 years) for blue chip comany. AGe late 40s.

now i wish to to do some contracting ideally but will take what i get (based in London) - what is the best way to proceed? should i go for accounting or IT jobs? bit nervous about jobs market, interviews etc. what is the London job market like?

What are you best at? What is in most demand?

Are you looking at short term, quick turnaround roles or more long term?

Do you know what you’re worth?

From there, make contact with appropriate agencies and ply your trade via a high quality CV promoting your competencies and impact you can make.

Good luck!
