Hello Guys,

I'm looking forward on Buying Used BMW F30 320d or Used Golf 7 GTD both 2014 year, So i cannot decide which one to get they are Both 184 HP, and both are SAME PRICE,

So My question is which one is more resonable to buy and why ? Which one is better to drive in Curves, which one is more stable etc.
I cannot test drive the cars as there are none Avaliable for sale atm neither used neither @ the dealers. Im going to buy the car from Germany.

Also which one would have better Driveing characteristics, i drive 80% of the time in Town, i do 20.000 KM Per year...

If you can pls tell me which one you would choose for same price and Why and which one is better.

I know i shouldnt be comparing golf to 3series but i dont like @ all the 1 series. Maybe as alternative comes Seat leon FR and Audi A3....

Personally i went for a 1 series (5 door) instead of the 3 as i didn't need a large saloon and was at the time driving a hatchback. I did look at the GTD / GTI but my missus didn't like them so stumped for the more expensive 1 series (125D) which has turned out to be a great car

I would also look at that Golf GTI, as well as the GTD

Can't go wrong with either but I absolutely love my GTD especially when spec with the limited slip differential and the adaptive suspension. So fun chucking it round corners and have excellent MPGs

Spec will be the only thing unless you're bothered about which wheels drive the car.

The GTD has never had the option of an LSD

Im a BMW fan boy, but Id be very tempted with a mk7 Golf, it has radar cruise control as standard.
Really miss this feature when I step in to a car without it.

Whats the spec on the BMW? Personally, I think the interior of an F series 3-series is a far nicer place to be than the mk7 Golf so give you're doing 20k km a year, thats where my head would be at as long as its got a decent spec.

It's probably all irrelevant now given the OP posted nearly 5 years ago!

What a strange thread revival and first post from Ace.
did he search for GTD thread, saw something that was incorrect which enraged him enough to sign up to pistonheads and correct it biggrin
