Just about to order my tickets for the BTCC at Brands and wonder if anyone in the locality know of good travel lodge/inn type hotels for two adults 2 children(one will be 7 and one 4)

Brands Thatch Thistle, where I have book previously have upped their price to £180 for a family room.

Bearing in mind you can get a family room next to a pub/resturant for £50 I aint going to book it.

I've already searched on the interet but wonder whether anyone has any recommendations.

Thanks

I stayed at the closest Travell Inn last time I was at Brands. About 10 mins drive in the morning and - well - it's a travell Inn. At least you know what you're getting!

Can you remember where it was? - Ideal 10 minutes away and it's only to sleep in so a bed and kettle will do nicely.

Not off the top of my head, but if you type DA3 8NG into the hotel finder field on www.travelinn.co.uk, it brings up 6 within ten miles, and aonther 4 within 11.

There's a Travel Inn if you turn left out of the circuit and just follow the road for 10mins. Probably the same place DayDreamer stayed in.

Even better:

find a small B&B/ guest house in West Malling. Lovely, lovely village about 10m drive from Brands. easy access from the Motorway, and loads of food bars/ restaurants/ real ale pubs to choose from. Aolso a Tesco's so you can stock up on food beforehand

A bit further afield but only 30 mins away is the New World Inn hotel in Warley, near Brentwood. A bit of character, decent grub and ale.

For none of the above, there's a couple of "Formele Une" motels at the foot of the Dartford Bridge. Handy for Lakeside though.

Or...have you got a tent?
