Hi All

I am after some opinions please as to what is deemed an acceptable number of owners for a 997 Carrera.

The car is a 2005 997 Carrera 2 with approximately 45k miles with immaculate service history and condition.

It does however have 7 previous owners though so I would like to understand if for this type of car, this is seen as acceptable, or would most leave it alone and wait for a 2 or 3 owner car which of course is a more attractive proposition?

Many thanks in advance, Ben

If the History and Condition are that good, I'm not sure what the problem is. Of course, 7 different people will have different driving styles, but if the cars been that well maintained, I can't see a problem.
And low mileage aside the car is over 12 years old now, so 7 owners isn't that much of a stretch, imo.

Quite a common question, it does seem that 911's are a box tick car for many, own it for a year maybe then sell it on before being hit by any big bills & say you've owned one.

Pretty good for a 12 year old 911. Condition and history seem to out weigh number or keepers on these.

My 996 is 14 years old and has had 11 former keepers. Therefore I am number 12.

I am assuming (hoping) that some of these may be inter-family transfers, but in any case the car is in good condition with great history so i'm happy enough. I would think for your car the same applies, it's 'high' but it's only one of many factors to consider.
