Other options in the pipe line are colour coded fluffy dice and boot stickers, with comments like "my other car is **** to"

I know that the PT Cruiser comes in for a lot of stick on this site, but personally, I think it's nice to see a car manufacturer who is willing to produce a car that's a bit different to all the crap Euro boxes we see on the roads. If you're going to have an "ordinary" car, wouldn't it be nice to have something a bit different?

A Caterham is different. An Alfa could even be classed as different. A PT Cruiser is an embarrassment.

Caterham's and Alfas are different.... different f@#$# markets!! a caterham can only (just) hold two people and a napsack with a marmite sandwich in it, BUT, it is a very rapid a-b car and for that alone it should be praised. any comparison between a PT cruiser and caterham is about as relevent as tom hanks. compare the Cruiser too the other cars in its class, and then ask is it differnt? yes. it has a distinct style, it looks intentional, it is designed with looks as a priorty. unlike for example the Citron Piccasso thing, which appears to be a regular (naff) car with an air hose issue. not to metion the fact that its cheeper than most of its competitors. Give me a Cruiser anyday over some over inflated, over priced, badly surfaced and duff designed euro (or korean..uugghhh how ugly!) bland-o-box, and i can spend the change on my sports car. sorry rant over!!

Have AMG / Brabus got their mitts on the Cruiser yet? Now, sod the back seats, drop the 7.3 litre V12 in there, along with RWD and off we go...

I think this has already been done with a big V8, but it was a full on drag racer and not for the streets Paul S1

This isn't customising.....just another manufacturers option. How naff!
Just choosing what wheels you have on your new car is customising as you are changing the car to suit you. If you went to a proper body shop and had the same flames hand painted would that not be customising?

I like them too...it is different, and it is interesting, and adding flames is an amusing optional extra... and lets face it....if you've produced something which produces totally polar views then you're doing something right!

I suppose everything is custom these days, ever since Henry Fords "You can have them in any colour you like as long as it's black" became history

If you check out adverts in EVO and other such mags, Brabus are advertising they have modified PT Cruiser. Full-on Factory supported Dragster version was in CCC about 2-3 months back. Phil.
