The mysterious disappearing paperwork....

Just thought i'd share something to "warn" other owners and to see if anyone has seen anything similar.

Moving house next week so had the day off work yesterday to sort final paperwork / packing. Spent the morning printing and signing page after page of documents.

Had to go get them witnessed and sent off so thought i'd take the Caterham as I had the time. Carefully put everything in an A4 envelope I had which was open down the side from stuff arriving, but kept it all together and put that in the boot.

Drove about 5 miles, got out, opened the boot.... empty envelope.

Cutting a long story short, it looks like the wind under the car whipped into the boot through the panel gap, emptied the envelope and spread 30 pages of legal stuff into a hedge which i found when on my way back home.



Tiny gap which couldn't have been much bigger than the paperwork, between the roll bars as well, and it extracted every page but left the envelope....

Printed another copy and put it in a rucksack this time but thought i'd share as i'll be more careful putting stuff in there now.

I sealed all the gaps on both Caterhams I owned to stop water ingress and prevent losing anything.

Used silicone and foiled tape in the boot area and under the front scuttle to stop water dripping on my feet.
