No oil pressure reading!

I am not getting anything more than a small lift of the needle on the oil pressure gauge on my duratec 620r 2014 with 3k on it? When ignition is turned on the gauge does a full range of movement but when engine is running it only moves a tiny amount and doesn’t change when revved? Ive checked visually the sensor and plug and they look ok. Anyone got any ideas, I don’t want to go buying new sensors etc if it’s something simple. I have read that the Caterham gauges are poo and people replace with stacks?
If you've run it for any appreciable time with this fault the good news is that it probably isn't anything too serious.
Which gauge is it? The one with about 90 degree sweep or the one with about 270 degree sweep? The former are reputed to be quite unreliable, the latter less so.
Either way it would be easiest to change the OP sensor first.

The Duratec vibration destroys solid state sensors pretty quickly. Probably simplest to buy from Caterham, however it's a fairly standard sensor and could probably be sourced elsewhere by checking the number online. BUT buy a remote kit and mount it away from the engine, that way the replacement will last as long as the car.
I recently had to change the ECU on my 2014 620R after one of the coil drivers packed up .
Caterham flashed a map on to the new ECU for me , i took it home plugged it in and away went the engine , good as new .
EXCEPT the oil pressure gauge did exactly what you describe above .I traced all the wiring , even got to the point of tracking down a new pressure sender when i was told to take pin 25 out of the ECU plug and tape it up !
Sceptically i followed instructions and hey presto everything worked fine again .
I have to say i have no idea why this worked , after all the only thing i had changed was the ECU the hard wiring in the car was unaltered . All i can think is that there was a miss match between the new map and the old car .I was told by the source who told me to remove the pin that later cars are wired differently to the earlier ones ( something to do with when they added heated seats ) .
Might be worth trying removing pin 25 .
