Christening present advice needed!

I need assistance from the PH Collective, please.
My wife is godmother to some friends' son, and the Christening is in 2 weekends time.
What do we get him?
I am Godfather to their other son, and I gave him a pair of cufflinks.
They live in London, so something like a hipflask would be a waste of time.
Anyone got any bright and original ideas?

In the end I got a £40 bottle of port which was appreciated in a better-than-was-expected manor.

i used these for my own kids www.wrightsonandplatt.com they are superb especially in silver.
I bought one of my godsons a yard of ale. OK, not the ale that goes in it, but the yard itself. I had it mounted on a wooden surround with a brass plaque, declaring "Henry's Yard" (the little blighter's called Henry...).
This was a couple of years ago, but cost me about £80 all in, I think. 2 weeks is plenty of time to find one and get an engraving done. I found mine in a shop that sold lighters, cigars, models (of toys), and other general bric-a-brac.
Other godparents pitched up with copies of Winnie the Pooh, the Bible, tankards, and fluffy toys. Without wishing to blow my own trumpet, Henry's parents (and most of the guests) said that the yard was the best Christening pressie they had ever seen.
Obviously, you need to be sure that the parents won't be offended - how religious are they? Would something like this be considered a trifle risque? (Henry comes from a very military, rugby-playing family, so it seemed appropriate).
I have also managed to secure myslef a place at Henry's 18th birthday party, when he shall attempt the yard for the (ahem) first time. I shall be 33 then, and will not only enjoy showing him how to drink the damn thing, but also the company of his 18yr old girly friends. Marvellous.
