Most of the international companies will hire an American v8, charger, mustang, challenger etc.

Most exotics over here are bought to look good in rather than go fast, your looking at 1 speed camera per Km on the main road. There are a few mountain roads out of town if you want to rent a supercar for the day

Avis do the charger/challenger at the best rate ime and at normal rental conditions/deposits.

If you want supercar hire it'll be restrictive and expensive with a high deposit. Can't name a known quantity in this arena and doubt others can either.

If you haven't driven here before then it can take some adjusting to. Also whilst this is a car city, there are not many decent roads.

There was a guy in the Fezza section that did a write of hiring a 458 I think it was out here, he got up early morning and did the Jebel Hafeet road (although Jebel Jais is better imo).

Let me try and find it

Expensive drive that. Isn't it 100km free/day then extortion thereafter? 100km would get you about 2/3 of the way to al ain.

Ferrari world at yas hire cars by the hour iirc.

That was me.........and it was EPIC!

Im back again in 2 weeks, looking to poss get a 458 again and do Jebel Jais. I was gong to start a topic but can anyone recommend a day to go to Jebel Jais?

I left my hotel at 9am earliest i could for Hafeet and it was awesome and not really that busy for 11am. However i have seen videos of Jebel Jais being really really busy. I may ask the rental company if i can get the car earlier. I did a Friday last time as its the day off and the roads seem relatively quite compared to work days, but would that make Jebel Jais busy?

Cheers

Weekends will always be busy - Friday morning will be the quietist time of the weekend, but won't be as quiet as mid-week daytime. I'd say the best time to go is anytime before lunch Sunday-Thursday.

Thanks for the info. Im guessing being a week day it will take longer to get there and back due to peak time traffic?

Thanks,

First time I used Vip-Lux and it was 3500 AED, (2015) now I'm looking at using Jamal Prestige they are quoting 2400 AED.

Thanks,
All the traffic is going the other way. I drove to Jebel Jais a few months back at the start of the day and it was plain sailing all the way. There really isn't a lot of traffic heading to RAK any time of day, especially not through the back streets to Jebel Jais. Google Maps will get you there, just keep your wits about you until you're on the road proper for dodgy potholes etc.

JP are offering 350KM, Excess mileage is 5 AED per 1 KM. Deposit is 3000/5000 AED (Car dependent)

Anyone know a rental company that have a 430 Spider? Older but id be tempted as might be keen to purchase one.
