shocked that no one has commented on this yet! what a race!! Rossi was just sublime no question, Sete lost the race rather than Rossi winning it though. Sete just had to hold the inside line on the final corner (where Rossi had previously taken him!) and he would have out-dragged the Yamaha to the line so why did he take the racing line and offer Rossi the gap?!?!

F1 has a long way to go to match that sort of entertainment!!

There's a thread in Biker Banter. I was watching - proper entertainment that was!

You're not wrong! I have huge admiration for these guys.

People talk about Rossi moving to F1, but he'd never be as exciting to watch in an F1 car.

However, Schumi in Moto GP, now I'd like to see that!

Completely agree - what an excellent race and what a SUPERB final lap!!! That boy is one talent, eh!

I agree, Sete lost the race - all he needed to do was keep a VERY tight line, the speed wasn't important as he could have slowed Rossi down and then outdragged him to the line (as you say). Any sort of gap shown...which he did...and he had to expect the little Italian to be underneath him!

Excellent racing indeed - I was actually shouting at the TV (and I was the only person in my house at the time!)

great race although I feel Rossi was in the wrong on the last corner - he came in way to hot and would never have made the corner. If sete wasn't there he'd probably be in the gravel too. Otherwise great race

Shame Sete didn't cover his line on the last corner - leaving that kind of gap open is suicide and Rossi proved it for him.

Top stuff that last couple of laps though...

Initially I thought Rossi was a little rough on the last corner, but from at least a couple of replay angles it looks like Rossi held the line pretty well and Sete tried to close the gap. Whatever, it was an excellent race - qualifying pace throughout - the Gibernau/Rossi battle is going to be fantastic viewing.

The only way to get similar racing in F1 is to get rid of the aero element, so it's purely mechanical grip then you'll get some proper close racing and overtaking.

the thing about the final corner collision was the fact that sete offered rossi the chance to go for the inside and rossi took it.

it may have seemed rough but i think that sete realised what had happened a moment too late and had to act.

i thought hayden was very unlucky though, all set up for a podium before dumping it!

Anybody see which exit Biaggi left the circuit through 'cos he obviously wasn't in the race!

And as for Rossi at the last corner, if he was gonna make it round with his feet flailing about off the pegs then he needs to be in Moto X!!!

Top man, what an entertainer!
