New to the web site so this is my second attempt at submitting a question.
Live in New Zealand and own an 1988 S1. Loverly car to drive in sunny Nelson. Unfortunately have failed a WOF due to the spine in the passengers side windscreen wiper having worn out. (The part that joins onto the wiper motor shaft) Does anyone know the original car make these came off so I can match a replacement one. The drivers side is a different make from the passengers side, so I figure there must be more than one match. Thanks Gerald

Welcome to the club.

When I replace the wipers on my S1, I measured them and them purchased the right length from a local motor factor. They are universal fitment so size is the only criteria to match.

IIRC, the motor and linkage/drive are all Saab.

Thanks for the advice but I mean the whole blade unit from where it joins onto the windscreen motor shaft to the windscreen.

Ahh, the splines on the wiper arm, I see what you mean.

Lucas used to sell them for many different cars, count the splines and give them a call (UK based company).

Thanks for your help. I was hoping I could get a quick fix from a wrecker, if I knew they were off the Serria or Capri etc. In saying that there would'nt be to many capris left in the wreckers over here.
