Having experienced again at Pie on the Beach the enthusiasm for food, drink and good company that PHers exhibit, I thought it might be good to have another PH Lunch meet before the fine weather leaves us.

I suggest the same location as last time as it offers:
- free public car park nearby.
- outside terrace by the river if fine, or indoor accomodation if not.
- good food and drink.
- the best petrolhead company you can imagine.

When: Friday 13 September, 12.30pm
Where: The Magpie, 64, Thames St., Sunbury-On-Thames, Middlesex, TW16 6AF. (tel: 01932 782024)

Anyone up for it?

For PetrolTed's benefit , the car park to use is the one just behind the 'Gdn' on the map above: entrance is from the road to the right of the pub on the map i.e. turn right just before you reach the pub when approaching from the East, then car park entrance is on the left.

Thanks Ted. Hadn't forgotten, it just seemed like a perfect start to the holiday....

Unless you're going to tell me the ferry times have been changed again.

Nope, but I won't have time to indulge in two PH events in one day!

I'll be trying to make it - priority is making time to leave work early to get down to the ferry though...

Still won't be in the Tiv though as I'm heading straight down there & not taking it to France

Ah well - there'll be a luvverly Caterham Superlight waiting for me at Folembray. Marvellous

Count me in...and the weather is supposed to be nice by weeks' end, although I'll believe it when it happens.

BBC Weather has just predicted (yes, I know!) fine, dry weather and up to 25C for Friday...so I guess that means, LUNCH ON??? I had better enjoy the free time now as a new job looms on the horizon

Love to join you but a) it's a bit far for me from where I work, and b) I'll be picking up my Noble around that time .

Hi all,

Alas I'm thinking of taking a sicky tomorrow in sympathy for my Chim ("Greeny") who's at Ewelme Coachworks for crash repairs following a mishap by my first wife. So alas I won't be able to make it as they've given me a Saxo as a courtesy car (and obviously I don't want to be seen in it as it has no Monster ICE, baked bean tin exhaust or 4 point aerobatic harness from Halfords).

Don't want to start a new thread here but any of you guys going to Rockingham on Saturday? If so drop me an e-mail and I'll look you up there (I'll be in a blue Chim if not my own).

Enjoy Friday's lunch, sorry I can't join you to add some cultural chat to your chicken salads.
