Plenty of nice cars running round the Mendips this afternoon.

to the white 350 TVR Wedge. Spotted you in my mirrors heading up the Gorge and caught up with you later in the Q8 garage on the A37. Sounded lovely

Was there some kind of Fiat meet going on? Must have been about 12-15 Fiat Coupes in convey blatting across the Mendips

Plenty of bikes, and various convertables and special to the silver Porsche Speedster, love these

I had a great weekend, mostly playing in mud. Saturday was pedal powered, and yesterday I took my new toy out

It was. I did manage to bend one corner slightly, but it's great to have a car that looks better for the odd ding.

Does indeed look fun One of my mates has a Lada Niva which he uses for trials mainly and is surprisingly capable off road. Do quite fancy a cheap 4x4 myself for a spot of Green Laning as there seems to be quite a few round these parts

Did you go to a dedicated off road place or is that on a farm somewhere?

It's here

It's basically a rough field with a few lumps and some trenches.

Some were pretty deep:

I saw the Speedster...I went past it at a considerable number of leptons just after the S bends at the rifle range on the B3135.

Saw a lovely blood red Cerb shortly afterwards that made a beautiful noise!

If you saw a black 1200cc Kawasaki travelling at some velocity...well, that would have been me!

You couldn't have been that far behind me then as I passed him at the very top of the Gorge just before the junction with the B3371

I've only just discovered the delights of this road recently, and now is part of my route from Bristol to Yeovil - via Wedmore across the levels.

I've not seen anyone in a smart-ish car yet - does anyone do 'early morning' runs at all?

I can see a plan forming here

As there seems to be a number of PHers in the area, why don't we arange a meet in a local pub one weekend? There's quite a few on top of the Mendips and plenty of roads for a blat after/before lunch. Any takers?
