Speed hump damage....
Discussion
Hello guys
This hasn't happened to me yet but where would we stand legally if the car gets damaged by 'sensibly' driving over a sleeping policeman?
I've seen quite a few large ones around me and wouldn't like to risk the car on these flipping inverted pot holes! Our cars are lower than the norm but I presume the council has to keep to certain regs when making these things...
Thanks
Neil

Hi Neil,
Try this: www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=1170120
And this: www.ukroads.org/webfiles/tal07-96.pdf
In short, as told to me by Chas at STR8SIX, if you car has its standard ride height, it should be able to clear humps within those specs (up to 100mm).
