Ryanair: Return flights from Barcelona to Brussels: 109 EUR
Hertz: 3 days car hire: 90 EUR
Formel 1: 3 nights B&B: 108 EUR
Weekend pass to the circuit including all grandstands: 25 EUR

332 EUR or about 230 odd squid for a weekend’s petrol heaven. BARGONA!

Anyone else going?

I am sadly stuck at home for this year's event. Went last year, and the only way I can describe it is amazing. Me and my Dad walked the entire circuit during the 1000K's, starting from the bottom of Eau Rouge. We walked the wrong way round (cut across to the bus stop, then went towards Blanchimont and Stavelot, then Fagnes, etc etc etc), so the cars were always coming at us. The view from the near the Malmedy hairpin (overlooking the un-named left hander before Pouhon) is amazing. So wish I was going

Another good reason for going to 'proper' circuits. Corner names! Stavelot, Blanchimont, Raidillon, Eau Rouge etc etc. Damn sight more evocative than telling your mates 'I was watching at turn 7...'

Thank you for listening!

Edited to add, 'Enjoy your weekend guys!'

Yep that´s the best route. I always head straight for the paddock after getting in. Have a nose round there for a while. Then walk up to the bus stop and round the circuit back to Eau Rouge.

Saturday was very wet, very foggy and very cold. But great fun though.
