Try SHIFT + (key to the left of Z)

If that doesn't work try CTRL + SHIFT + (key to the left of Z)

I reckon you're up on the numbers row...could be wrong...go down to the bottom left of the letters row

No, I'm not telling you where the SHIFT key is, I was asking you to use it!

I reckon you're on the numbers row?

Try the key to the left of Z, it's not SHIFT on my keyboard and maybe yours too, it's | the one you need

If still no use ... well just trying to help!

keyboard lay out changes a bit too, on my laptop the | key is next the space bar.

A lot of it is to do with having a US-market keyboard layout, but telling Windows that you're in the UK. On my (US-spec cos it was cheap) Logitech wirelss, the " and @ are reversed, the # symbol is a £ and the symbol you're on about doesn't work at all!

You'll be telling us you have a Euro symbol next...
