Sorry guys, Press fit BB advice needed (again)
Discussion
I'm on my second BB in a year & sure enough, it's creaking away. Bike is a Lapierre Zesty with a Shimano SMBB7141A press fit arrangement. I want to swap it out for something like a Praxis threaded but don't have a clue on what I should buy in terms of size & dimensions etc. despite dong a bunch of reading up yesterday, my head's swimming with it. Any decent pointers for a BB dunce like me please?
Quick google of SMBB7141A suggests it's:
Type: Pressfit BB92
Shell Diameter: 41 mm
Shell Width: 89.5-92 mm
Axle Diameter: 24 mm (Hollowtech II)
I've just had a Hope PF BB fitted to replace a crappy SRAM PF30 on my Focus Cayo, looks like one of these might suit as there's options to cover shell dia & width - http://www.hopetech.com/product/press-fit/

AFAIK you can't turn use a threaded BB on a pressfit as well...there are no threads!
Your stuck with BB92 but you can get a better quality bearing such as the Hope above or Chris King.
Bike manufacturers are going back to threaded BSA style because of the creak issues with pressfit e.g. Specialized on the 2017 Enduro.

A BB that is threaded to itself rather than the frame is what I had in mind, like the Hope one above?Your stuck with BB92 but you can get a better quality bearing such as the Hope above or Chris King.
