2008 SV150 Sigma Odometer grossly under recording

Ive noticed that my odometer does not show the correct mileage for any journey I am doing.. The speedo is pretty accurate based on the roadside speed camera indicators.. But the odometer records about have the actual miles driven.. Any thoughts?? I thought they were linked in some way so as long as the speed is correct the digital mileage would be too.. I'm sure its a Caerbont speed

Not sure I can help you with that one as I thought they were linked as well.

Some are with a wheel speed sensor on the rear right hub that needs to be adjusted to read correctly, if not then you will have the odometer issue you mention. Pretty sure when I had that the speedo was also out.

My current has the sensor in the gearbox, just below the reverse light switch. Not had an issue with that one so not sure if a different setup, would be surprised.

Maybe is a problem with the odometer itself.

Not likely to be the speed sensor if the speed is reading more or less accurately.

Sounds like an issue in the instrument itself.

Take a gps device out with you and make sure it's reading consistently correctly.

Ive got a gps speedo on my phone.. so ill do it tomoz...
Mmmmm... I thjink I might give caerbont a ring as well and see what their take on it is..
