To cut a long story short the input shaft oil seal on my gearbox (Racetech S2) went big time so I had to take the gearbox out. Having done that I decided to inspect the clutch plate which thankfully wasn't covered in oil. The clutch has done 7K miles and is well within the service limits and lookes fine.

My question, Are the two plates which are rivetted together suppose to move slightly around the rivets, it must only be .5 mm or so but just thought I'd ask before I stick it back in.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

Thought I'd reply to this for information to others. Bought a new plate which has absolutley no movement. Fitted it works perfrectly.

One thing I did notice is the new clucth plate has an extra set of samller springs near the middle compared to the old one. I guess the rivets on the old plate where taking some of the snatch and this is a modified version to compensate.

Probably completely wrong, but thought I'd post the information anyway as it might help other in the future.
