Recently picked up a lovely MK7 GTD, so pictured it next to my MK2 16v, both the same colour, 22 years apart, both Tornado Red

Adore the Mk2, bet its nice to see the two parked up and think, hmmm which one shall i use today?

If I had to guess, I'd say MkVII for longer journeys, MkII for country lane blasts. smile

Nice problem to have, either way. laugh

Ha ha in theory yes, although in reality I think hmmm, will it rain? Are the roads greasy?

So with British weather the Mk2 rarely gets used unfortunately

It's weird because I actually think the paint on the MK2 is a deeper red than the Mk7, I think this is due to the amount of work that's gone into the MK2 though, will get around to detailing the 7

Wow, nice pair. They look great, but boy the Mk7 is huge!! I have one too in Tornado, but the estate!

The MK7 is huge! Its so wide compared to the MK2 and a fair bit longer as well
