Anyone cycled in South Korea?
Discussion
We've recently returned from living in Korea and I've ridden the Seoul to Busan route. I'd thoroughly recommend it- the route is very varied, taking in huge urban high rise and stunning rural scenery. Also, finishing in Busan is pretty cool- great seafood, a lovely beach & good nightlife (if that's your thing).
Korea is a very safe country compared to Europe (geopolitical concerns aside!!). Practically, the path is totally car-free in the big cities (I commute through london on a bike, and would be very reticent about riding on the roads in downtown Seoul).... The climate in Korea has more extreme seasons than the UK- spring and autumn are lovely, but check if going in high summer or depths of winter.
Also, if you're on Facebook, check out the group "cycling seoul to busan and beyond"- it's an absolute treasure trove of info...
