Recommend me a good, bright commuting light

Now that I have been commuting a few times a week, I want to try and keep going at least through the autumn. I need a front light!
With the days getting shorter I will be riding in the dark there and back. A lot of London roads so the need to be seen, rather than see where I am going is most key. I can rely on my front flashing Knog for this.
However, for a good 6 mile stretch I will be riding on an unlit cycle path, so I need a reliable, front light with good brightness and beam pattern. It needs to be rechargeable, obviously fully waterproof, aslight as possible and ideally not much beyond £100.
My commute is 1 hour 30 each way so battery life needs to be pretty strong.
Can anyone make any recommendations? Choices out there are a bit bewildering.....

I use an Exposure Joystick on my MTB night rides (Helmet mounted), its plenty bright enough in the forests so should be ideal for what you want.

I sometimes have an additional light on my bars but don't always use it, more of a back up.

The Joysticks can be had for around £100 - I think I paid about £85 with Sales / Discounts.

Another vote for exposure - I have a strada, was about £150 from memory - ticks all the boxes (apart from cost)

I was doing Surbiton to Farnborough - so about 1.45 each way including some very dark lanes and was perfect.

Joystick here too. An older one (they're on 10th, 11th? gen now) with less lumens will be fine if you can get one cheap.

I use it with their Red Eye rear light, a cable goes into the charge port on the Joystick to power it. Only one thing to remember to charge.

I have one of these which I use all year round for commuting and evening rides. I also used it for this years Dunwich Dynamo and it was brilliant. It's the best light I've ever bought! And I paid twice the price too. Although I'd happily pay even more for it.

Ive tried lots of lights. I use a Cateye volt 800. Was about 80/90 quid.

Very bright, and the pulsing pattern for in town is extremely eye catching.

I have the cateye 1600. two brightest modes are too bright for roads with traffic but the extra bright modes would be ideal for unlit paths.
Battery is great too.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys.
I made a purchase as the price was just too good to look past. Moon meteor storm pro. Evans had an ex display model at £56 and I also had a 'welcome' voucher from them for £5. So I got the light delivered free for £51! Albeit no box or instructions. I think it seems a pretty good match for my needs and nothing much to compete with it at that price...

I've got a couple of them for longer rides, 1 of them will last all week easy doing my 8 mile round trip to work a day
Did a Crewe to Blackpool ride with them both in use the full ride...

+1 this is what I use now. Also use it at the weekends too. The camera element keeps my wife happy that they might catch the person who knocks me off and doesn't stop (as happened to her Dad).

So impressed I went to buy a spare, to find they are unavailable now.

Found this for 31 quid on eBay. Near identical but comes with a "proper"bolt-on mount that the light slides into rather than the screw in (tripod style) rubber band mount on the other one (which works fine and leaves the bars "clean looking" when removed)
