Insurance quote?
Discussion
I'm sure that this has been raised before, but as you guys are always helpful just liked to return the favour with good prices.
I have just had a quote from Classic Line (most helpful on the phone!) regarding the renewal of my insurance for a 1990 S3 and wondered if this is as cheap as it gets considering the circumstances.
I am 43, owed the car for about a year, told them for insurance purposes the car was valued at £8,500 and wish to use it just for fun, (I do NOT use it to get to work etc.) Limited milage of 5,000. No engine modifications. I have no garage, NCB didn't count/matter. I told them that I live in a good area (small market town, group 9 out of a scale of 60, I was told) and was quoted today £295. English road cover is an additional £17. At present I have it with Footman James and currenty pay £395 with European road cover included. Rung a few other insurance companies in the latest edition of Sprint and either they would not insure me because of the lack of garage or their prices were way above £500. So conclusion I guess £295 is about as cheap as it gets for an S3 without a garage. What's your views?
