So I have been looking at Avenger Skyland black steel limited edition for a while. Anyone had experience with the PVD casing and how durable as a daily watch it would be. I love the black, overall military feel, would probably swop strap for Nato strap as well!

pics and any opinions, also what price to pay?

I've not worn my Seawolf Avenger for maybe 3 months and when I wore it last week I was struck by it's weight.
Just thinking it would be awful on a NATO with the weight.,

Just my option & I could be wrong as the bracelet is heavy & maybe the Seawolf is a bigger watch??

Hi

I've had 3 Breitling black steel watches, none of them got scratched but to be quite honest with you I'm really careful with my watches but was SUPER paranoid about scratching one of those, once you've done it that's it, no repair!

Also, I think they would look awful on a NATO, even the 45mm Skyland because the thing is about 17mm tall and even a decent NATO is like a ribbon, MAYBE you'd get away with it on a Bulang and sons leather NATO or a Bremont velcro style canvas strap which are also 22mm

I mostly wore mine on Breitling rubber straps with a Breitling black steel push button clasp which I still have along with various straps for it! [url][

The Seawolf is thicker than the Skyland by about 1mm at 18.4mm and the black steel Avenger watches don't come on bracelets

Even so, the Skyland is a heavy 45mm case

Sorry ... I should have clarified I've a normal steel Seawolf not black edition, .... Anyway we're both in agreement that we don't think a NATO is the way to go. thumbup

Oh good! Having had 6 Breitlings and now none (except a desk clock) I think the Seawolf is maybe my favourite but can be tricky under shirt cuffs (not only the size but the sharp rider tabs destroy them) I really like the titanium version that NeilBauer on here has and of course it sorts the weight problem out!

That picture makes it look especially big but YES it IS!!!

You soon get distracted from the size by the fact it was unbelieveably tricky to get used to actually reading the time!
