Having recently discovered there are several of us girlies lurking about on here, how about meeting up for a pub lunch and a bit of a razz on 15th September?
I was thinking Oxford-ish as it's roughly between me and Rivergirrl/SGirl, but am open to ideas.

So far Rivergirrl, SGirl and my sis are on, any more? -Gaffer, Cosmic, BigM? Let's open a few eyes, deafen a few ears, and down a or two

Hi caro,
I had you down as being a diehard Tuscan Challenge supporter, surely you're not deserting the cause (Thruxton) on the 15th are you ? Sounds like a rumble a bit further south would give your meet some focus.
Timetable is already up on www.cdlracing.com/reports/round11.htm
Think of the stir you'd cause wandering round in a pack .

Gaffer, you, you're GV2000 and your ICE would be very welcome!

Martvr - aarghh! I'd forgotten, (you're right about me and the Tuscans, it's love) and had been thinking of trying Thruxton, one of the circuits I haven't been to, but I'll stick to my girlie guns now, I think.

Bu99er! I have got to go to a christening on 15th. I hate babies as well - but it is one of the neighbours offspring so have to make the effort. Would love to get back to the Oxford area for a meet as well - lived nr Abingdon until I was 16. (not really a pure Essex Girl - Honest!)

I'm up for it, as long as it's not raining. Haven't dared drive the Griff in the wet yet after hearing all kinds of horrid tales of rear ends overtaking front ends and stuff. But one day soon...

If it rains, though, can I bring the 911 instead? Oh go on, pleeease!

SGirl, we will hold a vote, and let you know Stay tuned
Besides, even if it does rain, it's a good driving experience. Don't go hooning along any roads or throwing it into corners, drive sensibly and you should be fine. I have driven Ruby in pouring rain, and no problems. Just be sensible!

OK then. It's a long old walk to Oxford...

I guess you're right. I generally try to behave (mostly!!), and the run to Oxford is almost all motorway anyway. It's just a lame excuse really 'cos I don't want to get my lovely Griff wet...

Hi,

Not posted for a while, would have joined in to swell the numbers but I'll be at the PH Folembray trackday which also means missing Thruxton. Just too much going on. I have booked for BT&P, so see you all there.

That's five of us, there must be others out there? (Big M, Alisonh, look forward to seeing you at BTaP.)

I'll start checking out a venue, unless anyone has a suggestion? Will look back on here for that riverside pub the chaps went to recently.

SGirl, Rivergirrl is right, just take it easy (in the rain) and you'll be fine. It's actually more dodgy when the road is slightly damp or greasy and can catch you out - if it's tipping it down you adjust anyway. As she says, it's a lighter right foot, brake before you turn etc.

Back soon with a venue!

Ok, how about The Trout at Tadpole Bridge? It's on the baby Thames about 7 or 8 miles south of Witney off the A40, PHers went there a couple of weeks ago and seem to have liked it. Check out www.trout-inn.co.uk.

Seems like we are a select band, so it may be easier to continue this by mailing each other off line, but any Lady PHers who have just found this would be more than welcome to join us!! Let's hope the weather is good
