Per/Annum rate for a job

Just spoke to a recruiter who said I had been offered a job on £xxk a year.

This would definitely mean a permanent role, I forgot to ask and rang back and he's now left for the weekend.

So to sum it up, if someone offers a per/annum salary, they're offering a perm. role.

If so, I'll accept on Monday, if not, I'll have a few q's for him.

Per annum would usually indicate a permie role. Might be worth asking what the full package is worth to make any suitable comparisons.

Just because somebody mentions an annual salary figure does not automatically mean it is a full time permanent role. It could be a fixed term contract for example, a part time role and they are quoting an equivalent to x amount on a full time basis. Don't make any assumptions. Just ask the question you want an answer for.

Why don't you know what the company are offering you? Presumably you had an interview with at least one hiring manager?

As someone has already said, until you see the paperwork assume nothing.

It usually means full-time yes, but as others have said you can't be sure until you ask and have it in writing.
