Hello all,

Just joined PistonHeads having in the last few days brought a 3200GT. Browsing threads in this bit of the forum there was talk earlier in the year of track days. Did anything come of this ?

Nothing specific at this point.

I take my car to the VMAX events, but have held off taking it on a full on trackday (off to Nurburgring with it next weekend though!).

Next tentatively scheduled meet is at the Autoitallia day at Brooklands racetrack on 30th April, you are most welcome to join us to check out the other exotica if you wish

Have fun at the ring - I'm taking the bike at the end of July.

Was thinking of doing Brooklands too, but need to confirm slightly nearer the time. I'll let you know via here if I'm definite - would be good to meet on the day if possible.

Cheers for the quick response

Be good to have another 3200GT along for the AutoItalia day - we are pretty rare you know!

What spec / colour is yours - got a pic?

Welcome to the club!

Only just recently got mine too, and hopefully going to make it to Brooklands. Would also love to get along to a track day or two this year.

Cheers,
Michael

Re AutoItalia - would like to get along to it, would particularly like to hear some of these Tubi's, is there anywhere in particular you will be congregating inside the show or will it be obvious?

Parking was by marque last year, so I doubt we'll have a specific PH parking area. Will post up some kind of PH meeting point nearer the day.

More than welcome to come and hear the tubi! (Though if you're within a mile of so of Brooklands I doubt you'll ahve the choice!!)

I'll come along in my 3200 as well. I've not been before so it should be good.
Is it a big area where everyone shows their cars off, or is there a designated area for specific cars??

Mr Tony - spec as follows (straight from the dealers advert) : Blu Sebring with Blu Scuro leather interior, Blu Scuro dashboard and steering wheel, Blu carpets, Carta de Zuchuro piping and stitching, Grigio alcantara headlining, Climate controlled air conditioning, 18" Alloy wheels with Red brake callipers, Electronic suspension, ASR, Electric seats with heating and memory, Satellite navigation, Electro-chromatic rear view mirror.

So in short, it's metalic Blue with red calipers and standard 18" wheels :-)

Brooklands looks more and more likely - how many cars normally turn up from Maserati, is it a car park (or field) full or just a handfull ? Can anyone point me towards a website with photos of past events ?

Thanks for the welcome to the site :-)

check out www.auto-italia.co.uk for pics from last year.

I seem to remember well in advance of 100 ferraris, and probably nearly that many maseratis last time in the car park - not including the various cars on stands. Cars will be of all vintages - last year there were 60's quattroportes alongside Ferrari Enzos

Check out the 'Events' Forum - I've put a post in there to try and link up the PHers who are going.

Nice spec by the way - what year?

Andy - nice to hear from a previous owner - car is going well - nice to play for the first time over the weekend :-)

Any idea if/where I can get update navigation CDs for the Blaupunkt sat nav system ? Haven't done any hunting yet, but as you know the car thought I'd ask...

Cheers.

How does the 355 compare after the 3200 ?

glad you enjoyed it at the weekend!

sat nav disks, i would say a blaupunkt dealer. you can buy that sat nav unit from stereo dealers so they should stock the disks (prob cheaper than from maserati).

355 vs 3200? i have a 355 f1 spyder. love the car...much more "special" in a way than the 3200 but you really have to be in the mood for it. 3200 much better all round.

355 going soon, planning to get a merc sl55 amg. fancy something more usable than the 355. still considering a maser spyder but sl is top of the list for now
