I've got an interview for a contract, which is an IT Operations role

When I've interviewed contractors in the past to join my team, it has been for projects rather than BAU, so I was more interested in the technical skills of the engineer or delivery success of a PM and the questions focused in that direction

As this is a leadership BAU role, how should I approach it?

Do I need to research the Company as I would for a permie role?

Should I rustle up a presentation?

Tips welcome!

The interviews can be very much like the permie ones you've had in the past, sometimes they're basically the same transcript, especially for a BAU contract!

I'd approach it the same, but also research and note things for yourself. Include past projects, situations etc where you've demonstrated what they're after. As shallow as it sounds, you need to make them believe that they will get their monies worth out of you.

They're looking for an employee, without the rights, expect to interview just like a permie. If IR35 is a thing that concerns you, this will almost certainly fall within it.

Be prepared to evidence that you can do the role advertised.

Good luck!

What....?! Unlikely unless it's in the public sector (and since he said company then it's unlikely...)
