Car trailer and Paris CDG Airport
Discussion
I've to drop my wife to T2 CDG in early Sept and will be towing my 911 on a trailer behind my Cayenne
- I imagine I wont be able to use the usual drop off areas or car parks ( the Cayenne is 1.8 M and the trailer 2.0.
- I may encounter security . ?
Will I be able to drop her off ?
If not is there anywhere nearby , or where could get publiic transport to the airport, has to be very close though
Can anyone suggest a hotel not too far away where we could park the car and trailer the night before with reasonable security?
All advice appreciated, well almost all, I'm happy with my wife of 39 years.

We flew out of CDG in January and we stayed at the CitizenM overnight the night before and parked the Jag in their car park and moved it to a long-term car park in the morning. The hotel is actually at CDG (Roissy) and the shuttle train to the terminal is 100m from the hotel door so very convenient. Loved the hotel, it's very modern/high tec and the rooms are tiny but perfectly adequate for an overnight. The car park is down the side of the hotel and secure with barriers at either end and when we were there we were the only car in there but if it's busy you may have to unhitch the trailer and use two bays (there's only one row of bays so you could park parallel if it's fairly empty but nose-in if busy).
There are quite a few hotels at Roissy, all seem to have secure parking with barriers that need a passcode to get in/out, and the parking out of sight behind the hotel.
We have used the Novotel a few times.
Never needed to drive into CDG, but from memory, there are shuttle buses that collect from the hotels and go to the airport fairly regularly.

My advice would be bring a bike lock, are you confident enough towing to reverse the trailer into a bay, unhitch, then reverse the 4x4 into the bay next to it, then bike lock the trailer to the 4x4? This tends to be the best solution for parking a combination in a car park.
Sorry can't help you you with going into the airport but that's what I tend to do when I need to park my work truck & trailer in a hotel car park.
Edit: worst 'I've got 2 Porsches thread' ever.
