I had a trial for Everton FC when I was 17. Played crap though and didn't get a job.

Mrs Spooky once punched Ian Brown (Stone Roses singer) in the gob for being an ignorant, talentless git.

I was in an irn-bru advert.
It was never seen by the public because the advertising-standards people wouldn't allow it.
It was a billboard featuring two Irn-Bru drinkers, one being yours-truly, who on being asked what they would do to get their hands on an Irn-Bru replied 'I would sell my kidneys!'

Duno why they banned it!

I was once Sandy Toksvig's stunt double in a play, luckily it was a comedy as she is about 5 foot, and I'm 5 10 and it was obvious it wasn't her, it involved jumping a BMX across the stage behind a shadow screen, the things you do for money when your younger

Was taught by Jason Plato at the Silverstone race driving school before he got a BTCC drive! He was also very arrogant but tanlented. Kept complaining about being hungover and knackered from just arriving back from Japan....

He complemented my driving cos I listened and got progressively better, while the "trader boys" with their porkers got slower and thought that they knew more than Jason.... pratts...

Cheers,

Paul

Do you remember that advert for Imperial Leather where the soap was placed in a sledge and all the family were in 4 seperate baths and when you asked for the soap it was sent down a mini cresta run to you? (this was back in the late 70's/early 80s)

Yes?

Well, I crashed and burned with the girl in the advert!!!

She was about 4 at the time of the advert but 18 when I met. Very good looking, very aloof and I was very not her type!!

I speak only the truth... my old dear was in the Sunday papers many years ago with the cat and all the Coronation Street numpties...

The original colour opening scene was shot over the rooftops of Old Trafford in about 1971, where mater and pater lived at the time.

TOP MARKS!!!!

I used to race Karts with Greg Murphy (one of the Australian V8 Supercar championship's top drivers) He used to kick my arse sooo bad. Also used to race with Fabian Coulthard, David Coulthard's Cousin..... expect to see him in formula one in the next 10 years or so, he's VERY good.

My dad used to appear regularly on 'World of Sport' on ITV (remember Dickie Davis?) most Saturday afternoons, due to the fact he was a very successful professional wrestler.

I, apparently, still hold the English Schoolboy record for a discus throw that I did yonks ago. I represented Britain a few times at championships too. And played footy in my spare time, and was at the Aston Villa School of Excellence, but signed school boy terms with Leicester City in the end. Before anything came good of it, I found beer, girls and nightclubs. Hence my (very rapid) downfall...

Oh, I also won a competition when I was about 7. (which my dad entered in my name )

It was in connection with 'Film Fun' which was a kids TV prog presented by Derek Griffith (qui? )

Spent a day at the Granada Studios (real ones, this is before the tour place even existed IIRC), meeting all sorts of low grade TV celebs and got me picture in the papers..
