Need to get my wheels refurbished - no change of colour, just to fix the kerbing.

Anyone used them?

Get a quote from Herts wheels in Frogmore.

Did a great job on my integra for about £250.

Yes, wasn't impressed. Had four wheels shot blasted and powder coated. The powder wasn't very durable (flaked off easily), and the corrosion started to come through again too. I don't think they did the prep thoroughly enough.

I've had better results elsewhere.

Cheers guys. A mixed bag!

My concern is that the wheels I need work done on are genuine bbs lightweight CSL's. are they more difficult to work with than normal wheels?

Are they split rim?
Do they have a gazillion spokes?

If so, I'd imagine they'd require more time for a thorough shot blasting and prep.

I think cast alloy wheels *might* suffer more in the oven when being powder coated (I've had wheels out of true), but this might not be an issue with forged wheels.

They're pretty spokey. Not split rims though.

I'll pop in and see what they say.

Try BJV Engineering. I know a few people that have used them and highly recommend them. They managed to replicate the polished finish on a set of e46 M3 wheels but with powder coating/painting (cannot quite remember which) rather than the prone to failure simple polish and lacquer.

I just had mine done by Max Powder. Finish is pretty good for powdercoat. Obviously I cannot comment on how durable they are. All four turned around next day

The only thing they didn't quite get right is the balancing on the fronts. They have to be static balanced otherwise the weights hit my brakes, and so far I am getting a bit of wheel wobble over a certain speed. Need to go to wheels in motion and have them look at it, they are spot on for things like this.

wouldn't touch WIM with a bargepole these days mate.

Supplied me faulty Hankooks, then refused to refund me or replace the tyres, despite admitting they were at fault. Thankfully I paid by credit card and got my money back that way.

We've had good service from Apsley Tyres and Redbourn Auto Solutions.

It took the boss at Apsley Tyres to balance the knackered wheels for my Rover though - the monkeys weren't able to do it.
