Wiggins or Frog

After putting it off for as long as possible my daughter has outgrown her Frog 52 and would like a new bike for her birthday. She has looked online and has narrowed it down to the Wiggins Chartres 26 or the Frog 69. She prefers the Wiggins, but it's from Halfords. I can't find many reviews for the Wiggins online. But if it is like their Boardman range there cannot be much wrong with it. Has anyone bought a Wiggins bike or heard anything good or bad about them?

I looked at a Wiggins a while back (I eventually bought a used Islabike) and thought they looked like a good quality bike.

Only the decent resale value of the Islabike made me discard the purchase.

I also looked at a Hoy and they looked nice too.

I want to buy the bike my daughter wants not what I want. We went and looked at both the Frog and Wiggins yesterday and she preferred the Wiggins. So it looks like that is what we will be purchasing. I know Islabikes are the best, but if I buy something she doesn't like it will not be used. I now just need to find a good Halfords in the Poole/Bournemouth area.

I totally understand that, luckily my daughter will ride pretty much anything!

I know it's a bit of a trek from your area but I've had excellent service from the Winchester Halfords bike section. I bought my lad a Boardman from them and it was very well assembled.

Not bought it yet as her birthday is in September. So will be going to look at different branches to get an idea. I've heard the Bournemouth branch has a good reputation.

I think British cycling members get 10% at Halfords.
