Topcat.

Did you notice any major difference in the handling characteristics of the car?

Supposed to affect downforce and therefore handling at bigger speeds.

Hi davey s1, i only had a blast up the dual carrageway. safe speeds due to roads works.
The turn off ramp is a huge 270 degree corner and it still stuck to the road like sh1t to a blanket, enough to make me car sick!
Very strange to drive with that much light in the cabin. used to letter box windscreen and 2 mirrors. no sence of speed with it at the moment. look down and im doing 100mph. roof back on now and had a little drive round torquay, annoying the local chavs on my way to the casino.

That's done it. The next time it's a sunny day the lid is off!

Was tempted to last weekend, but thought it'd be more trouble than it's worth. Is it easy to remove / replace?

Tim.

Very easy to take off. the roof is held on by 4 bolts. take off the topof the windscreen cover(three screws), remove the rear side trim( velcro), undo the 4 bolts in the corners of the roof. thats it. enjoy.

Oh i took it for a spin last night and didnt hear any squeeks but i must do an extended road test to be sure.

Calm down S Works, it's not a real mouse!
[Michael winner voice off]

Heard of a few people who have said that taking the roof off then putting it back on gets rid of the squeek that the majority of them seem to suffer from.

I think SWORKS, the car attracts enough pussy without the need for a mouse. Silly git.

Looks cool with the roof off - just as well cos I get mine in 3 weeks and plan to be driving roof off at least some of time. Like the chequered flag graphic - where did you get it from and was it easy to apply?

How cool is that, driving with the roof off rocks. Great feeling with the wind, sun and smiles from everyone around. Had so many nice comments from people. 4 people in the petrol station commented on how fun it looks. I highly recommend it to all S2 Exige owners. No squeaks anymore either.

Job's a good'un fella Still can't understand why they didn't plan on that being a feature when they launched the bl--dy things in the first place.
