After a season and a half running our GT3 in dayglo orange we are set to have a new look for Brands Hatch courtesy of sponsors Fast Lane Paint & Body Ltd in St Albans. - 01727 852147

As former official Porsche bodyshop technicians they bought the business, (currently VW Audi approved), 3 months or so ago with a view to expanding back into their first love the specialised, (particularly Porsche), performance market and approached us with a sponsorship proposal.

We had a tour of their premises last week and were very impressed with the standard of workmanship and general attitude towards their job, (in other words they`ll move mountains to get us back on track if we have the odd excursion trackside !).

Just to make things a bit more interesting due to testing and other corporate commitments the guys have only got err.... 3 days to completely colour change the car!! Well how hard can it be, a tin of paint, a couple of rollers, 4 cups of tea and hey presto.

Seriously, the car should look lovely in it`s new metallic grey livery.

See you all at Brands - we`ll be the ones with the polishing rags out !!

Hello Henry!

Got you on my list of who to take photos of at Brands. At this rate I'll use up a whole film on the unofficial PistonHeads Britcar racing club!

See you there.

Look forward to seeing the results. I suspect it will be a busy race, 2 hours, lots of cars and a tiny track !

See you there

Presumably that's to help the resale value Henry.

That`s just the reason mileage doesn`t matter, the old badger`s only done 7k miles from new. 2 gearbox rebuilds, 1 engine top end, umpteen sets of tyres, brake pads & discs, 2 sets of shocks, but genuinely 7k miles !!

One sparkling new livery!

Ran well in the race, Henry. Up to 3rd at one point IIRC. Did you lose top gear 'cos it was bouncing off the limiter for a long time along the top straight near the end? Still, at least your Porsche didn't stop 5 minutes from the end whilst leading!

Nothing serious, actually the car only uses 5th, 6th gear is redundant !

I really loved the Dayglo, but have to admit a racing GT3 looks awesome in any colour. Good luck this season

Thanks for that, I loved the dayglo as well, unfortunately the sunshine didn`t and it faded like hell. Not a problem if you don`t have to keep touching in the odd bit here and there but if it needed any work you were forced to paint the whole car.

When we took the stickers off it was incredible, where they had been was bright orange, where the paint was exposed it was almost white !

Just thought you might like to see the old and new colour schemes together as I've finally got my Silverstone pics developed along with my Brands ones!

And just for fun, a grass-tracking 911...

Not guilty of the grassy moment, my co-driver at Silverstone, (that`s the great thing about 2 driver races you can always blame the other guy !

Would be very interested in getting a disc of images to use on the website if poss.
