Any good? Might go see it tomorrow (Orange Wednesday 2 for 1 offer ) but it seems to be getting mixed reviews. I loved Get Shorty but is this a worthy follow on?

From what I've heard, unless you like playing 'spot the celeb' or understand 'hollywood in-jokes' dont bother...

Trailer does look good, but it looks a bit like every 'cool' movie pasted into one. Probably give it a go though.

we went to see it last weekend, it was entertaining, we laughed in places, but it was a crap film.

The acting was fairly wooden in places and the "wigger" (lead from Dodgeball) was way to OTT to the point where he was plain annoying rather than funny. The pisstaking of itself and the movie bussiness is funny (you can only say once, honda insight as his "cool" car etc)

There isn't anything else out at the moment, and it's worth a 2-4-1 but nothing more than that.

From what I've heard its similar to Oceans 12 alot of smug looking stars poncing around thinking their cool.

The story was fairly limp, and it was a little bit too smug and knowing for my taste. I also thought there were too many in-jokes and self-references, as though its target audience was actors and music industry executives, and all those songs/music videos just screamed "filler" to me.

Having said all that, The Rock was awesome (as is to be expected).

Overall: 2/5 (it would have been 1/5, but inclusion of The Rock automatically doubles any score).

I thought it was him, he looks much thinner and better in Be Cool than Scorpion King / that desert thing. He was superb however, very, very, very good performance.

I agree with everything else said here btw, not that good a film.

edit:: And Andre 3000 was in it, he was truly superb as well. Shame Travolta / Thurman were poor and Vince Vaughn's character was such a

he and rock save the film. The bit with him on the "sofa" trying to be comfy and ending up giving the gun up was immense. Cedric The Entertainer was half way to been decent as well.

In fact, all of the non mainstream actors were good and much better than the main ones.

Planned to see it last Sunday, but saw "Hostage" instead.
Other than a weak ending, it was a great if very harrowing film.
Seems to me that Bruce Willis makes the odd decent film between the many crap ones.

Well, watched it last night have have to agree with comments here. Very average and glad I only paid half price. The Rock was indeed very good

BTW, anyone know what that red convertable was that Uma Thurman was driving? Looked lovely (as did she ).

Edit to add the only photo I can find of it:
