New to the site so hello! I'm after some advice, please - couldn't find an answer with a search.

I have a 1999 996 C4 Tip with a gearbox problem. The gearbox overheats under hard work and doesn't change out of fourth as readily as it should.

I've had the gearbox looked at several times by a specialist and new valve chest fitted but the problem continues. I'm now considering a full gearbox rebuild.

The car is in Yorkshire. Can anyone recommend a local specialist?

I've been recommended porschegearboxes.com in Dartford and would be grateful for anyone's experience of using them?
