We're driving to France in a few weeks and the Volvo V70 manual suggests we need to make some alterations to the headlights. It looks like a nightmare to do with a random template that needs printing then put onto stickers. With baby twins and a 4 year old this is not going to go well. Anyone found them pre-done? Does is really need to be done? Thanks.

With small kids are you really going to be driving after dark,if not leave your lights as they are.

If you do have to drive in the dark and you have a dashboard headlight level control, turn it down a notch or two from the position uyou would normally have it set at. It won't do much for your visibility, but will help oncoming.
It's what I do when I drive at night in the UK and I never get flashed.

For what it's worth, nobody on PH has EVER had a gendarme check whether their headlamps have any modifications for use in France. There was a thread on this a while back and none of the stuff you're supposed to carry has ever been checked for. All they will check is your V5 (I would suggest a colour copy) and your driving licence.

Maybe try putting the headlights on at night shining against a wall and see what you can blank out with some black tape.
Many have done it before.
