Looking at a birth year watch, I like the idea however not a lot out there, chrono 24 has very little. Where else would you be looking?

I am aware of the Seiko divers from that era, but what else was about?

I am open minded but I need a watch that is clear to look at, ideally auto.

If you want to share your birth year watches feel free!

The early 1990s says to me TAG Heuer. There was loads of Artyon Senna related advertising at the time.

My first "posh" watch was a TAG 4000 Automatic in 1993 for my 21st. Back then TAG didn't have the slightly naff image it has acquired over the last few years. They were tough, sporty watches which could be worn everyday, but without the cost of an Omega or Rolex.

Some good reading here: https://www.calibre11.com/model/tag-heuer/

I'm trying to get something for my 30th soon but frankly all the submariners just look old.

Heuer wise it looks like I was born too late, some lovely examples ranging from the 60's to the mid 80's, Great suggestion though and I have bookmarked the page.

Scott - same as the omegas I can find some are battered and some look overly dated.

I don't have Rolex money and even so they don't float my boat, dive watch would be a Fifty Fathoms or a Bremont supermarine.

1991 seems to be a year where not a lot was bought/sold/produced
