911 technique - lift-off or trail-brake?
Discussion
Was out for drive earlier this week and it occurred to me there seems a couple of ways to tuck the 993's nose into a corner:
1. lift-off mid corner and the car slightly rotates in...then catch [although it seems the multi-link on the 993 and beyond dramatically reduced the extent to which lifting-off affects the car]
2. trail-brake to keep more weight on the front as you turn in
To the track dons & 911 aficionados - Which is better? Does each technique have different uses?
When I've been on track with instructor they're always advocated trail-braking on the tighter corners, never lift-off...but am still curious

Trail braking is what I've been taught by various pros including Don Palmer to quell the understeer
Back off oversteer is for showboating but very good fun!
Edit: further trailing braking technique https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trail_braking#Driv...

As an enthusiastic amateur, the 911's appetite for trail braking - and therein the ability to brake just a little later - and its ability to create traction and therefore take power extremely soon after an apex are defining factors in the charm of the car.
I'll leave lift-off oversteer to the drifters, rally pilots and other experts.
