I should be posting about cars, not houses, but the unfortunately real prospect is I will shortly be sleeping in the former, not the latter!
So, I'd like to reach out to my fellow pistonheaders and ask most humbly if anyone has a spare room in a villa or perhaps unused maid's accommodation that I might borrow for a few weeks? I have been evicted from the home I have treasured for the past 12 years and am now without home, income or passport. Desperate times call for desperate measures.
If you know of any accommodation for myself, wife, cat and small dog, that we might quietly use for a few weeks and keep spotlessly clean please let me know, by PM here, or call 056 3600367, and you will have my unreserved gratitude. Needed June 15th onwards.

Part of a very lengthy saga of disaster I'm afraid. There is a local bank that believes they can force an international journalist to produce large amounts of cash from thin air simply by denying me the ability to travel or earn a living. Quite right too, I'd have done it if I could. Instead, passport seized and held, travel ban imposed, visa no longer possible so legal working is out of the question, am forced to live below the radar living on sympathy and scraps. It WILL make a wonderful book, but one that I can't write here. Anybody know how to escape the UAE undetected?
