Does anyone know the true performance figures of the "New" Monaro VXR (V8) 6.0 litre..

I have read that the 0 - 60 is between 5 & 6 seconds

Top speed 170 to 185 +, but what is the true performance.

Cheers

Havent you test driven one yet?

To be honest I would guess the figures will be better once you have a few miles on it, the press normally get a brand new car thats just come off the ship the day before.

I saw a VXR monaro (LS2) in redhot pasting a ferrari down the A5 towards towcester last night, could have been Kevin Whale from Vauxhall as I'm told thats what he's driving these days.

If you havent driven one yet, depending where your based, why not pop into a dealer like W Grose in kingsthore Northapmton to test drive theirs, they have an LS2 VXR an LS1 VXR and a couple of V8's, just ask for Wayne if your going.

Thank you "Turboman"

Yes I have driven the new car.

I take delivery of it next Saturday.

It was there "Demo" model & yes it was very

very quick, and the seats are the most comfortable

I have ever sat in.

Some "mags" are saying 185+ mph that sounds just what

I am looking for.

I am going to Germany in the car in May so will gice

it a blast.. then post results from prison in Germany

cheers again

A month ago, I went out with 'Test Drive' magazine and spent the day testing the new Monaro 6.0, the Mustang GT V8 and the MG ZT V8. It was an enjoyable day and confirmed to me that I had made the correct choice in upgrading from my present 5.7 Monaro.
I am actually getting the car on May 3rd, after a slight delay, but I am sure I can put up with 333bhp until then!

As far as performance is concerned, these 'Detroit' engines give their best after 5000 miles and also top gear requires a really good open road to stretch it's legs, as it is extremely tall indeed.
