I have RockShox 120mm Recon Gold which are great. They work well and the lockout DOES work, however when new it would 'click' into place when turning the lockout lever. Now it does not click into place BUT it does still work (I.e. locks the shocks) so it's a minor annoyance but one I would like to fix.

Any ideas?

Possibly a ball bearing within the lockout mechanism, that 'clicks' into a recess when in the lock position, gone missing?

I don't know your fork specifically, but...

The clicks on MTB forks are usually made by a small ball bearing under the cap, it gives a more mechanical / quality feel to something and lets you know it's in place if you're on the fly and can't devote all your attention to it.

The missing click shouldn't make any difference, but it's easy to fix, remove the cap and give everything a clean, try not to lose the BB -however if the cap has come loose at any point, the bb may be gone already, hence the lack of click.

Thanks

Does one simply unscrew the top retaining Allen bolt and the cap comes off?
